This summer, The Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers is delighted to present you with Satay Inn’s newly launched Singaporean Trio Afternoon Tea featuring 3 Singaporean specialities – durian, pandan and kaya, for you to spend a relaxing afternoon in style.
Pandan Kaya Toast:
The all-time favourite Pandan Kaya Toast is a popular nibble filled with butter and kaya, a traditional jam made from eggs, sugar, coconut milk and pandan leaves. Fragrant and pleasantly eggy, the homemade kaya is thick, creamy and perfectly balanced in flavour.
Durian Glutinous Rice Dumplings:
The dumpling is soft and gooey filled with sweet durian flesh – an aromatic titbit for durian lovers.
Pandan Chiffon Cake:
Recently dubbed Singapore’s national cake, this soft-as-clouds sweet treat is fluffy yet moist, light and yet filling – a traditional favourite that you should not have missed.
This salty treat has become a recent hit with local and tourists. The crisps are coated in a layer of salted egg yolk which appears in the form of a sandy sauce. Its crunchy texture and prominent flavour just make you want to eat more after each bite.
This Popiah is wrapped with a mix of shrimp, pork, smashed peanut, shredded carrot, cabbage and rice vermicelli. All the ingredients were bursting with its combined taste – refreshing, juicy, crunchy, spicy and sweet.
Other savouries include Chicken and Pork Satay, Deep-fried Shrimp Cakes and Buboh Hitam (sweet porridge of black glutinous rice served with coconut milk). Complete your Singaporean gastronomical journey with your choice of pandan milk, white coffee or The T arik!
